Construction of Highclere Tower Castle was completed in 1513. Highclere Tower was commissioned by Lord Alfonse Highclere for his 13th wife lady Victoria Travalen. Highclere tower remained in the Highclere family until all members mysteriously vanished in the early 1900s.
As you enter Highclere tower castle, now turned hotel, you are greeted by Countess Stella Alexandrovna, the severely strict proprietor. The countess was the sister of Tsar Nicholas II. It was rumored that the countess was jealous of her brother’s thrown and thus started the coup that brought down Tsar Nicholas’ reign. However, the plan backfired, and the countess was forced to flee Russia.
While at Highclere tower hotel, beware of the machiavellian bellhop, Dragomere Antonovich, the most loyal servant of the countess who carries out all her wicked whims. Make sure not to put a toe out of line during your visit or you may not have any come morning….
